Patrick McDowell X NEBT
Commissioned in early 2020 and put on hold by the COVID-19 pandemic, Patrick McDowell collaborated with NEBT at the Royal Opera House, as part of the Next Generation Festival championing new world class dance talent. Working with esteemed choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple, Patrick created costumes for the world premiere of the ballet piece Rosamunde.
Patrick created costumes that maintained his sustainable design ethos, working with a seasoned Italian mill, Carvico, to use high quality Lycra regenerated from ghost fishing nets to create one off costumes made locally in London.
In Patrick’s spirit of supporting creative education, the festival supports and uplifts new and emerging dance talent and works with pioneering choreographers at the beginning of their careers.
